1. Who we are (Data Controller)

This website, databreachmediator.com, is owned and operated by Lexeprint Inc.(“Lexeprint,” “we,” “us”), the data controller for personal data processed through this site. Address: 2100 Park Ave, PO Box 681057, Park City, UT 84068, USA. Contact for privacy matters: info@lawandforensics.com.

2. Scope

This policy applies to databreachmediator.com and to the other websites owned by Lexeprint Inc. (databreachmediator.com, digitalforensicexpertwitness.com, ediscoveryexpertwitness.com, technicalspecialmaster.com). It explains what we collect, why, the legal bases under the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and your rights.

3. What we collect

Analytics (Vercel Web Analytics). With your consent, we use Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregate visits. Vercel Web Analytics is cookieless: it does not store cookies on your device, does not collect directly identifying information, and uses a hashed, non-reversible identifier derived from request data to count unique visits for a single day. We receive only aggregated metrics (e.g., page views, referrers, country, device/browser type). We do not use it to track you across other sites or to build a profile of you.

Server and security logs. Our hosting provider automatically processes limited technical data (e.g., IP address, timestamp, requested URL, user-agent) to deliver and secure the site.

Communications. If you email us, we process the information you choose to send.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Analytics is loaded only after you opt in via our consent banner. Your consent choice is stored locally in your browser (local storage), not in a cookie shared with us, and is used solely to remember your preference. You can change or withdraw consent at any time via the “Cookie Preferences” link in the footer.

5. Legal bases (GDPR Art. 6)

Consent (Art. 6(1)(a))— for analytics. You may withdraw consent at any time; withdrawal does not affect prior processing.

Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f))— for security, fraud/abuse prevention, and reliable delivery of the site (server logs).

Performance of/steps toward a contract or legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(b)/(f)) — to respond when you contact us.

6. How we use data

To operate, secure, and improve the site; to measure aggregate usage; and to respond to inquiries. We do not sell personal data.

7. Recipients / processors

We use Vercel Inc. as hosting provider and analytics processor under its data processing terms. We may disclose data where required by law.

8. International transfers

The site is hosted in the United States. Where data of EU/UK visitors is transferred to the U.S. or other countries, such transfers rely on appropriate safeguards (e.g., the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK Addendum) as implemented by our processors.

9. Retention

Aggregated analytics are retained per Vercel's retention periods. Server logs are kept only as long as needed for security and operations. Emails are kept as long as needed to address your inquiry and meet legal obligations.

10. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and may object to processing or withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, email info@lawandforensics.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (EU) or the Information Commissioner's Office (UK).

11. EU/UK representative

Lexeprint Inc. is established in the United States. Where required by Article 27 of the EU GDPR and/or the UK GDPR, Lexeprint Inc. will appoint an EU and/or UK representative, and this policy will be updated with that representative's contact details.

12. Children

This site is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

13. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data, including HTTPS and the security controls of our hosting provider.

14. Changes

We may update this policy; the “Last updated” date will change accordingly.

15. Dispute resolution

Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to this Privacy Policy or our processing of personal data shall be resolved in accordance with the Rules of JAMS(the JAMS Comprehensive Arbitration Rules & Procedures, or the JAMS International Arbitration Rules where applicable), to the extent permitted by, and without waiving, any non-waivable statutory data-protection rights or remedies you may have.
